Vidhur's Bow Most Devastating Weapon in Mahabharata.... Stopped by Shri Krishna

Its name is “GOVARTHAN” gifted by Lord Vishnu and one who wields it at the time of war cannot be destroyed by any weapon, not even by Arjuna’s Gandiva.

Mentioned below are the some of little known facts about others bow transfomation

Pinaka or Shiva Dhanush – Lord Shiva -- devaraatha - Broke by Rama (Avathar of Vishnu)
Vijaya -- Lord Shiva -- Parashuram -- Karna (Most powerful), Every time When an arrow is aimed, the energy of the arrow is amplified by multiple times as Vijaya Dhanush is charged with sacred mantras. Karna used this only at the time of Kurushetra and created huge havoc to Pandavas army.On 17th day of Battle Karna Overpowered Arjun and named Vijayadhari
Gandiva -- brahma -- Agni -- Arjuna (Gandivadhari)
Govarthan -- Lord Vishnu -- Vidura
Sharanga -- Lord Vishnu -- used by Lord Krishna
Dronacharya and Bhishmas bow. But those two are also equally powerful,
It is said that a weapon from Bhisma's bow cuts Arjuna's Gandiva at the time of kurushetra war.

All these Bows are from divinities So it is not possible conclude which is better.

How Vidur Was kept out of Mahabharata War.

Though Vidura does several favours to Pandavas Such as intimating with clues for escape from the Varnavat palace, Condemn at the time when Draupati insulted etc,

The true warrior will always be the first person to establish his skills at the time of war.

Here comes an incident that makes Vidura not to fight in the war..

We all know that Krishna came to hastinapur on the behalf of Pandavas for peace negotiation.

And he had a warm welcome from the Kaurava side (extraordinary archery welcome from Karna).

He disappointed Duryodana by refusing his request to stay in the house arranged by him and told him that he will stay along with Vidura’s family for the entire duration of visit.

He already knew that Duryodana would have arranged some person to monitor Krishna’s activity in his palace if Krishna accepted to stay in. So he decided to go for an alternative.

Here the question is why he chooses Vidura’s home to stay?

Because Is he a great devotee of lord Vishnu????

Might be!!

However, Bhishma and Karna also equal Vidura in their devotion, then why didn't Krishna choose Bhishma or Karna??

The very next day during the time of peace negotiation. Duryodana abused Vidura for giving place to stay for his enemies' friend (Krishna) with harsh words accusing him of partiality favoring Pandavas' side.Forgetting that Vidura was an elder in the family and his own paternal uncle.

He said that Vidura was an ungrateful person with criminal thoughts.

Dhritarashtra, Bhishma and all elderly persons present there were stunned. They tried to pacify Duryodhana, but he was violent and aggressive. He used the cruelest words against Vidura referring to his birth and said that while his belly was depending on the royal food of Duryodhana, his heart was beating with love for the Pandavas.

At a point of time Vidura's rage exceeded when he heard Duryodana abusing him because of his birth and cast aspersions on the character of Vidura's mother as well.

Immediately he burst out like thunder, taking out his bow and arrow, aiming at Duryodhana.

But Krishna cleverly intervened and played a trick.Turning towards Duryodhana, he said,

“O Kaurava king, do not provoke Vidura like this. If you do, he might break his bow and declare that he will not fight on your side and would be neutral.”

Duryodhana, however, was still indignant and arrogant and said it did not matter if Vidura decided against fighting.“Without him, I (Duryodhana) can win the war if it comes that.”

Atlast an enraged Vidura was unable to digest any further insult. He  declared, “Krishna, you guided me on the right path and reminded me of my power of archery. I will fight no more.”

So saying, he strung his bow and broke it with a thunderous noise accompanied by a flash of lightning,Vidura thanked Krishna and walked out of the durbar.

Bhagavan Krishna again stands with his strategy, because Vidura didn’t have any curse vulnerability like Karna or Bhishma or Dhronacharya and the only way to stop his power was to stop his participation in the war which Krishna clearly knew.

Thus, Krishna paved the way for the Pandavas’ victory and Vidura proved himself as a staunch follower of his own doctrines (Vidura Neeti)

At all the times where others Such as Bhishma , Dronacharya, Karna , Arjuna even Yudrishtra failed to follow their own doctrines at certain cases.

A quotable quote from Vidura Neeti which inspired me after reading is below..

Old age destroys beauty;
temptation destroys patience,
greed spoils the malicious man,
one’s good nature sours as a result of servicing the wicked,
lust destroys shame and
EGO destroys EVERY THING.

Bhishma and Karna are equal in devotion to Vidura???

Maybe.

But don't forget that Bhishma was forced by his vow to support Duryodhana.

And Karna, instead of reproaching his friend, supported him always: even in his misdeeds. Thus all the devotion is useless if one's actions are not in accord to the devotion.

Most idiotic thing stated by a Moron Karna fan ..Included Karna where ever possible...

This is Plagiarism ... copied from some one and pasted with devotuion for Karna

If so where is the details in mahabharatha or the link which says so ? I mean the authentic links not wikipedia or some 3rd rated novels or bull shitthing

Sun God son is Karna, Mahabharata authentically states that, How can you doubt karna vigour and knowledge, bravery, devotion. Everyone knows he got the most powerful bow Vijaya from Parashuram, if Bhishma bow can break gandhiva why not Karnas vijaya.

Karna is not full devotee. After he learns pandavas as his brother's, he feels bad
