Reasons why Shiva Has a Snake Around his Neck

1. First Story -
The Snake around lord Shiva’s neck is called Vasuki. Vasuki was the Serpents king.
Lord Brahma worries about Shiva 's annoyance, and its consequences on the universe when Shiva decided to not to interfere in universe affairs. Lord Vishnu knows this is because of separation of Shakti from Shiva.
Vasuki's role
Vasuki decides to take care of Sati(Shakti). Vasuki wishes to approach Lord Shiva for Sati's welfare. Vasuki visits Kailash to meet Shiva.
Vasuki informs Lord Shiva about Sati's suffering. He urges Shiva to take care of her.
Vasuki pays his gratitude to Shiva for blessing him.
Now on other side all the snakes were already given order by Lord Brahma that snakes and serpents will live only inside earth(underworld), they will not come on land surface. But because Lord Vishnu wanted to arrange meeting of Lord Shiva with Sati(Shakti born to Daksha Prajapati's daughter) , he caused an unbalance to world. Snakes came on the earth surface.
But this was against Lord Brahma's orders, so Lord Vishnu sent his vehicle Garuda, a bird, to kill all the snakes.
The episode begins with Garuda attacking all the snakes, which creates among all snakes.
There Vasuki tries to stop Garuda from attacking the snakes, but Garuda reminds Vasuki of the curse which Brahma has given to them, and also tells him that snakes have crossed their boundaries and that snakes should stay in Patal-loka. But Vasuki defends the snakes and garuda tells that he would kill Vasuki. And a fight starts between Garuda and Vasuki.
Garuda picks Vasuki and dashes him on the ground. Vasuki calls Shiva and says that you can’t tolerate injustice, then why so delay in coming as Garuda is killing Vasuki.
Shiva comes there to save Vasuki, which leaves Garud shocked.
Shiva decided to stop Garuda, Lord Vishnu appeared to save Garuda.
Lord Vishnu said "Please Lord, you have to win me first to kill garuda".
For the sake of Vasuki and Snakes ,Lord Shiva accepted Lord Vishnu's challenge. Lord Vishnu reveals to Lord Shiva that he had plotted to fight with him for the welfare of the universe. Lord Shiva and Lord Vishnu reconcile with each other. Lord Vishnu succeeds in pacifying Lord Shiva.
Vasuki's Sacrifice
Lord Shiva blesses Vasuki and Garud. He takes Vasuki around his neck because Vasuki's role and his sacrifice was too much important. Vasuki was injured by Garuda and he was devotee of Lord Shiva. Vasuki was the King of Serpents, and he lost many snakes because of this incident, many of family members, too.
Lord Shiva takes Vasuki around his neck and blesses him that he will be having more important role while "Samudra Manthan"  will be happening in near future.

2. Second Story - Protection of Snakes
Snakes are meant to be dangerous reptile and is feared by many of us. Lord Shiva show us that he controls fear and death by wearing snake as ornament.
It is also said that the snake three rounds around Lord Shiva's neck depicts future, present and past. That states that Lord Shiva is Independent of Time and controls time.
There is a story that when the snake species were in endangered, they approach Lord Shiva for Shelter. Lord Shiva gave them shelter by letting them stay in Mount Kailash. But due to cold weather, the snakes used to approach Lord Shiva for warmth of Body. Thus, He as a protector used to wore these snakes as ornament to provide warmth.
3. Third Story - Samudra Manthan
After the Samudra Manthan and before the immortalizing Amrita came out. There were a number of things that came along with it one of them being Halahala, a lethal poison.
This terrified the gods and demons because the poison was so powerful that it could destroy all of creation. Then the gods approached Shiva for protection.
Shiva, being the daring God that he is, consumed the poison in an act to protect the universe, and his wife Parvati grabbed Shiva's throat in an effort to prevent him from swallowing the poison, which was the most deadly poison in existence, harmful even to a god.
As a result, Shiva's throat turned blue. For this reason, Lord Shiva is also called Neelakantha (the blue-throated one; "neela" = "blue", "kantha" = "throat" in Sanskrit).
As it is not feasible even for a goddess to hold on to anyone's neck forever. It is believed that she tied the snake around his neck, so as to prevent him from swallowing the Poison.

Types of Vyuha ....Military Formations used in Mahabharata

Battles are always fought by arranging your army in way to gain maximum benefit out of the formation. i.e. least casuality and maximum damage.

This was also employed in the epic battle of Mahabharata.

Types of Vyuha (Military Formations used in Mahabharata)

1. Chakra vyuha – formation of concentric circles in layers.
This is the most famous vyuha that was used in Mahabharata also due to the fact that it is associated with Abhimanyu one of the most celebrated martyr of the war.

2. Shakata vyuha – formation of a cart wheel this would give a same view to enemy from any direction with equal number of opposing forces so that enemy cannot determine when and where to attack.

3. Mandala vyuha – circular formation ( dont know how this is different from the above)

On the seventh day of the war Bhishma made Mandala Vyuha. It was circular formation very difficult to penetrate. The Pandavas countered it by Vajra Vyuha. On the dawn of the eighth day of the war, it was Oormi Vyuha for Kauravas, meaning ocean. It was the formation in which their army was arranged. It spread on the either side like waves of the sea. Arjuna chose
Sringataka Vyuha.

4. Urmi vuyha – formation resembling ocean’s waves  this was similar to mandal vyuha but in reverse formation.

5. Sarvatobhadra vyuha – meaning “safe on all sides” –

seems to have been a kind of square array in which the troops faced all the points of the compass (as per KMG interpretation)
On the ninth day Bhishma went for a Vyuha called Sarvatobhadra Vyuha which meant safe from all sides. Bhishma was in the front, Guarded by Kripa, Kritaverma, Shakuni, Jayadratha, Kamboja and sons of Dhritarastra. Trigartas were also there. The Pandavas formed a Vyuha in shape of a constellation. The Pandavas and sons of Draupadi were leading from the front. Shikhandi Chekitan and Ghatotkacha were holding important positions to defend. Abhimanyu, Kekaya brothers and Drupada were guarding the rear.

On the tenth day the Kauravas army chose, Asura Vyuha and the Pandavas countered it by arranging their army in Deva Vyuha. In the lead was Shikandhi with Bhima and Arjuna to protect his sides. Behind him were Abhimanyu and the children of Draupadi. Satyaki and Dhristadhyuma were with them. Virata and Drupada had two charge of the rest of the army. Kekayu brothers, Dhristaketu and Gatotkacha were in their ranks. The Pandavas had the single pointed aim to kill Bhishma and were successful in that.

On the twelfth day of the war, the Kauravas chose Garuda Vyuha and the Pandavas countered it by going for the Ardha-Chandra Vyuha.

6. Garuda vyuha (Garuda – The Mighty Bird).

On the second day Bhishma arranged his army in Garuda vyuha. Bhishma was its beak. Drona and Kritavarna were the eyes. Kripa and Ashvatthama were at the head. The Trigartas the Jayadratha with their armies made the neck. Duryodhana, his brothers, Vinda and Anuvinda made the body. King of Kashala, Brihadbala formed the tail.

7. Krauncha vyuha ( Krauncha is bird with a sharp pointed beak)

Pandava army was arranged in this vyuha on the second day. Drupada was at the head and Kuntibhoja was placed at the eye. The army of the satyaki formed neck of the Kauncha bird. Bhima and Dhristadhymna formed both the wings of the Vyuha. The sons of Draupadi and Satyaki were to guard the wings. The formation of the army phalanxes in this manner was very formidable.

Bhishma also decided to arrange his army in Krauncha Vyuha. Bhurishrava and Salya were to guard the wings. Somdatta, Ashwatthama, Kripa and Kritavarma were positioned at different important place in the formation.

8. Vajra vyuha ( in the shape of the thunderbolt)

9. Suchimukha vyuha ( formation in the shape of a needle)
This was the last vyuha in the attempt to same Jaydratha from Arjuna in Mahabharata.

10. Sura & Asura vyuha have been mentioned as well
These were used to create confusion in the enemy ranks as to who they are fighting and where

11. ArdhaChandraakara vyuha (crescent shpe)

Arjuna observed this arrangement. He arranged the Pandavas army in consultation with Dhristadhymna, made the Ardha-chandra vyuha. cresent form. At the right end was Bhima, Along the ups were placed the army of Drupada and Virata. Neel, Dhristaketu, Dhristadhymna and Shikandi were placed next to them. Yudhisthira was at the centre. Satyaki, and five sons of Draupadi. Abimanyu were at left end, Ghatatkacha and Kokaya brother was there too. At the tip was Arjuna at his Chariot with Krishna.

12. Makara vyuha ( crocodile-shaped)

On the fifth day of the war, Bhishma chose to arrange his army in Makarvyuha. Arjuna, Yudhisthira and Dhristadhyumna decided for the Hawk formation of their Army. All the warriors of both sides were assigned to specific places in the formations with special responsibilities.

On the sixth day it was the Pandavas who preferred the Makara Vyuha. The Kauravas chose Krauncha Vyuha. It is said that on this day Bhima was coming in and out of the Vyuha of the kauravas, killing soldier at will, swinging his terrible mace.

Weapons used in Mahabharata ......Modern and Nuclear

Mahabharata: The first nuclear war? 1/26
1
Mahabharata: The first nuclear war?
Composed perhaps as early as 1,000 B.C.E., the Mahabharata, contains the history of a great battle waged between the five sons of Pandu and the hundred sons of Dhritarashtra. Within this sacred account, there are references of some highly advanced devastating weapons, the most severe of which may have been the Brahmastra. The descriptions of these weapons clearly indicate an advanced science that possibly existed. Ever wondered how such complex technology was known to those ancient people? Let’s explore…

Nuclear blasts 2/26

Nuclear blasts
In ancient India, we find words for certain measurements of length; one was the distance of light-years and one was the length of an atom. Only a society that possessed nuclear energy would have the need for such words. When Oppenheimer said ‘I am become the destroyer of worlds,’ he was quoting from these ancient books. Historian Kisari Mohan Ganguli says that Indian sacred writings are full of such descriptions, which sound like an atomic blast as experienced in Hiroshima and Nagasaki.

An ancient battle is described in the Drona Parva, a section of the Mahabharata. “The passage tells of combat where explosions of final weapons decimate entire armies, causing crowds of warriors with steeds and elephants and weapons to be carried away as if they were dry leaves of trees,” says Ganguli.

Some astonishing facts 4/26
4
Some astonishing facts
There remains an inventory of additional technologies utilized during this historic war. Mantras, for instance, refer to weapons that caused impairment by emitting harmful sound vibrations. Another device, known as the Naga Astra, had flawless aim and attributed similarities to a snake. An ideal modern comparison would be a heat-seeking missile. Other passages within the Indian epic reference the use of toxic gases that could cause physical and mental incapacitation (Sammohana astra). Let’s take a look at 12 such deadly weapons…

Vasavi Shakti 5/26
5
Vasavi Shakti
It is a spear of mortality made out of lightning. It can only be used once, exchanging tremendous defensive power to equip a spear with a powerful "anti-god" performance. It may be an ancient version of a Buster Launcher that projects a giant lightning beam. . Indra granted it to Karna during the Kurukshetra war but it was first used by Indrajit against Lakshmana in Ramayana. In Mahabharata, it was used by Karna to kill Ghatotkacha.

Vijaya Dhanush 6/26
6
Vijaya Dhanush
Vijaya or Vijaya Dhanush was the bow of Karna. Every time an arrow was released from this bow, it created a terrible twang, which is said to be loud as thunder causing terrible fear in the enemies. It is said that this divine bow was created by Vishwakarma, Royal Architect of Gods as per the orders of Lord Shiva for the purpose of destroying the city of Tripura. Lord Shiva destroyed Tripura by firing Pashupatastra from Vijaya Dhanush.

Brahmanda Astra 7/26
7
Brahmanda Astra
In Mahabharata, it is said that this weapon manifests with the all five heads of Lord Brahma as its tip. Brahma earlier lost his fifth head to the anger of Lord Shiva. This weapon, Brahmanda astra is said to possess the power to destroy entire solar system or Brahmand, the 14 realms according to Hindu cosmology. As recorded in Hindu puranas, when this weapon is invoked it will cause “the oceans to boil due to its heat and earth and mountains will float on the air ".

Use of Brahmanda Astra 8/26
8
Use of Brahmanda Astra
When this weapon is used for defensive purpose or counter to Brahmastra and Brahmashirsha astra it will swallow the above said astras and neutralize it. When this astra is used for offensive purpose nothing can stop or escape from it. During Mahabharata war Drona invoked this weapon to use it against Pandava army but due to the request of Gods and ancestors Drona revoked this weapon because it will completely annihilate the Pandava army who were fighting on the side of righteousness

Brahmashirsha Astra 9/26
9
Brahmashirsha Astra
It is recorded in Mahabharata that Ashwatthama and Arjun used this weapon against each other. It is thought that the Brahmashirsha astra is 4 times stronger than Brahmastra. It is similar to modern day hydrogen bomb or thermonuclear (fusion) bomb. In the Puranas,it is explained that when this weapon strikes an area it will cause complete destruction and nothing will grow even a blade of grass for next 12 years. It will not rain for 12 years in that area and everything will become poisonous.

Asi, Special Sword of Brahma 10/26
10
Asi, Special Sword of Brahma
Brahma performed a Yagna, when a demon-like being sprang from the midst of the sacrificial fires scattering flames all around. His teeth were sharp and terrible, stomach lean and skinny, very tall, slim and very powerful. Brahma declared: The ‘being’ I have conceived is Asi. It shall effect the destruction of the enemies of the gods and restore the Dharma. Upon this, the creature assumed the form of a blazing, sharp-edged sword, glowing like the flames at the end of the Kalpa. (Shantiparva,Mahabharata)

Narayanastra 11/26
11
Narayanastra
The Narayanastra was the personal weapon of lord Vishnu in his Narayana form. This astra in turn fires a powerful tirade of millions of deadly missiles simultaneously. The intensity of the shower increases with increase in resistance. The only way of defense towards this missile, is to show total submission before the missiles hit. This in turn will cause this weapon to stop and spare the target. Aswathama used it unsuccessfully and under instructions from Krishna Arjuna had it withdrawn.

Pashupatastra 12/26
12
Pashupatastra
The Pashupatastra, in Hindu History, is an irresistible and most destructive personal weapon of Shiva and Kali, discharged by the mind, the eyes, words or a bow. It is capable of destroying creation and vanquishing all beings. In the Mahabharata Arjuna obtained this weapon from Lord Shiva but did not use it because it would destroy the entire world. It is said that the mantra to obtain and discharge the astra is sealed by Shiva to prevent its misuse in the Kali Yuga.

Naga Astra 13/26
13
Naga Astra
The weapon would have an un-erring aim and take on the form of a snake, proving deadly upon impact. In the Mahabharata, Karna used this unsuccessfully against Arjuna.

Brahmastra 14/26
14
Brahmastra
As described in a number of the Puranas, it was considered the deadliest weapon. It was said that when the Brahmastra was discharged, there was neither a counter attack nor a defense that could stop it, except by Brahmadanda. The Brahmastra never missed its mark and had to be used with very specific intent against an individual enemy or army, as the target would face complete annihilation. Modern speculation has equated its destructive nature to be similar to that of a nuclear weapon.

Varunastra 15/26
15
Varunastra
The Varunastra is the water weapon (a storm) according to the Indian scriptures, incepted by Varuna. In stories it is said to assume any weapon's shape, just like water. As per the Indian legends or Puranas this weapon is said to have been obtained by great warrior characters such as Arjuna, Satyaki, Dhrishtadhuymna, Dronacharya, and many other illustrious warrior characters. The scriptures say this weapon was obtained by meditating on Varuna or Shiva, and was to be used with great care and skill.

Maheshwarastra 16/26
16
Maheshwarastra
This weapon is supposed to contain the power of Shiva's third eye. It shoots a really fast fiery beam which can turn even celestial beings to complete ashes. Infallible, though can be nullified only by any Astra of Lord Shiva and by an Astra of Lord Vishnu.

Reusable missiles 17/26
17
Reusable missiles
Some Ashtras (weapons) returns back to the person who launches it. Eg.Karna's Nagaasthara and Krishna's Sudharsana Chakra. This may be similar to the reusable missiles which the Indian Space Research Organization is working on.

From the epic  18/26
18
From the epic
Few excerpts from the Mahabharata have made historians believe that nuclear weapons were used in the Mahabharata war or post-war. The following is an excerpt found in many websites, reproduced as it is. "Gurkha, flying a swift and powerful vimana (fast aircraft) hurled a single projectile (rocket) charged with the power of the Universe (nuclear device). An incandescent column of smoke and flame, as bright as ten thousand suns, rose with its entire splendor…”

Modern Nuclear explosions 19/26

Modern Nuclear explosions
“It was an unknown weapon, an iron thunderbolt, a gigantic messenger of death, which reduced to ashes the entire race of the Vrishnis and the Andhakas. The corpses were so burned as to be unrecognizable. Hair and nails fell out; Pottery broke without apparent cause and the birds turned white. After a few hours all foodstuffs were infected...to escape from this fire the soldiers threw themselves in streams to wash themselves and their equipment."

Intense impact 20/26
20
Intense impact
"Dense arrows of flame, like a great shower, issued forth upon creation, encompassing the enemy. A thick gloom swiftly settled upon the Pandava hosts. All points of the compass were lost in darkness. Fierce wind began to blow upward, showering dust and gravel. Birds croaked madly... the very elements seemed disturbed. The earth shook, scorched by the terrible violent heat of this weapon. Elephants burst into flame and ran to and fro in frenzy.”

Did these weapons destroy us in the past? 21/26
21
Did these weapons destroy us in the past?
When the City of Mohenjodaro was excavated by archeologists in the last century, they found skeletons just lying in the streets, some of them holding hands, as if some great doom had suddenly overtaken them. These skeletons are among the most radioactive ever found, on a par with those found at Hiroshima and Nagasaki. Ancient cities whose brick and stone walls have literally been vitrified, that is-fused together, can be found in India, Ireland, Scotland, France, Turkey and other places.

Destruction of the advanced ancients 22/26
22
Destruction of the advanced ancients
Furthermore, at Mohenjo-Daro, a well planned city laid on a grid, with a plumbing system superior to those used in Pakistan and India today, the streets were littered with “black lumps of glass.” These globs of glass were discovered to be clay pots that had melted under intense heat! Seems like the dreadful atomic weapons pushed us into a “stone age” of sorts, and modern history picks up a few thousand years later.

More evidence 23/26
23
More evidence
At one site, Soviet scholars found a skeleton which had a radioactive level 50 times greater than normal. One such city, found between the Ganges and the mountains of Rajmahal, seems to have been subjected to intense heat. Huge masses of walls and foundations of the ancient city are fused together. And since there is no indication of a volcanic eruption at these sites, the intense heat to melt clay vessels can only be explained by an atomic blast or some other unknown weapon.

A banned site 24/26

A banned site
The Indus valley is now the Thar Desert, and the site of the radioactive ash found west of Jodhpur is around there. A heavy layer of radioactive ash in Rajasthan, India, covers a three-square mile area, ten miles west of Jodhpur. Scientists are investigating the site, where a housing development was being built. The levels of radiation there have registered so high on investigators’ gauges that the Indian government has now cordoned off the region.

A giant crater near Bombay 25/26
25
A giant crater near Bombay
Another curious sign of an ancient nuclear war in India is a giant crater near Bombay. The nearly circular 2,154-metre-diameter Lonar crater is less than 50,000 years old. No trace of any meteoric material, etc., has been found at the site or in the vicinity, and this is the world’s only known “impact” evidence. Indications of great shock (from a pressure exceeding 600,000 atmospheres) and intense, abrupt heat (indicated by basalt glass spherules) can be ascertained from the site.

The alien theory 26/26

The alien theory
A theory is doing rounds on the internet. I don’t agree with it at all but will state the same. Many researchers believe that the weapons used in Mahabharata were a combination of ancient earthly weapons and the highly powerful and advanced futuristic weapons provided by the Aliens. Especially the various types of "Asthras" (missiles) and various types of "Dhanush" (launchers) of Mahabaratha were all provided by the Aliens.

Bermuda Triangle Explained in Rig Veda

Bermuda Triangle or the Devil’s Triangle, is a region in the western part of the North Atlantic Ocean, where a number of aircraft and ships are said to have disappeared under mysterious circumstances.
Even though the US Navy says that Bermuda Triangle does not exist, many have attributed various disappearances to the paranormal or activity by extraterrestrial beings.
But till date, nobody could find out actual reason behind this mystery.

bermuda triangle mystery rigveda
Many believe that there is a hidden pyramid inside the atlantic ocean, which pulls everything towards it like a magnet.
It was named as “danger region” for about 500 years after disappearance of ships & planes. In 1492 during journey to America, Columbus saw some glitterness in this region and his magnetic compass got disturbed.
In 1909, a fishing boat got disappeared. On 5th Dec 1945, a flight started from Florida (USA), when went about 120 miles east, its contact was broken from base station and plane disappeared.
In 1948, a ship carrying 27 travelers disappeared in Bermuda region.
In 1951, another ship carrying 53 travelers disappearedin this region. Due to safety and precautionary reasons,
all routes for ships & planes have been made out of this triangle.

Bermuda Triangle Mystery revealed in Rig Veda

Although there is a similar demon described in first ever poem, Ramayana, it does not match with the geographical location.
Simhika, the gigantic demon had the power to attract anything’s shadow flying over ocean and pull it into the waters.
However, that was on the way to Lanka.
Brahmanda Purana (composed more than 5000 years ago) and Rig Veda (written more than 23000 years ago) clearly state that the planet Mars was born out of Earth.
That is why he is called as Bhauma (‘son of Bhumi’) or Kuja (Ku = Earth + Ja = Born out of ) in Sanskrit.
Asya Vamasya Sukta in Rig Veda states :”When Earth gave birth to Mars, and Mars seperated from his mother, her thigh got injured and she became imbalanced (Earth rotated in its axis) and to stop it Godly doctors, Aswini Kumars poured iron into the triangular shaped injury and Earth got fixed in her current position.
That is why Earth’s axis is bent at a particular angle.
earth mars formation
That triangular shaped injury on our planet which was filled with iron went onto become Bermuda Triangle.
Iron stored inside earth for years becomes natural magnet and Bermuda disappearances, fog, high and low temperature water streams colliding are a result of this.
Moon was also born out of churning of milky ocean and when it rocketed out from Earth at latitude of about 23½ a huge bump created by its ejection came in line with Sun.
So, Earth has tilted axis at 23½
Modern science could not explain this phenomenon and also the strange coincidence that Earth is titled at 23½ degress and Bermuda Triangle is also at 23½ !

Bermuda Triangle Mystery revealed in Atharva Veda

Atharva Veda has description of several gems. One of them is Darbha gem, which is described in Sukta 28, 29 & 30, by Darbha gem. So, electro-magnetic waves going from wireless system or coming to system are disturbed and wireless system fails.
Darbha gem is like a very short form of neutron star, which has high density.
Similarly, Darbha gem also has high density so there is high gravitation due to Darbha gem. There is emission of high energetic electro-magnetic waves due to Darbha gem, probably due to nuclear reactions happening in it. Intensities of electric & magnetic field associated with electro-magnetic waves are very high.
This gem could be a powerful and dangerous weapon.
Khanda 19 of Atharva Veda, Mantra 4 of Sukta 28, states : “As the Sun brings down clouds on earth in the same way oh! Darbha gem you fall down the rising enemies.
It means that there is gravitational force due to Darbha gem inside water.
Mantra 5 of Sukta 29, says, “As the curd is stirred in the same way oh! Darbha gem you stir enemies.
It means to stir the bodies is a property of Darbha gem.
In Mantra 7 of Sukta 29, says, “to burn the bodies”;
It means there is emission of high energetic rays like laser rays by Darbha gem, which destroy bodies.
So properties of Darbha gem are:
1) High gravitational field.
2) Stir bodies coming near to it.
3) Emission of high energetic rays.
All these properties of Darbha gem, explain the phenomena of Bermuda Triangle.

Mars (Mangala / Kuja) has Triangle shaped Yantra in Vedic Astrology

Mars Triangle YantraIn Vedic Astrology, Mars (Mangala or Kuja) is red in color (similar to what moden scientists discovered), had water bodies on it (dried river beds found by NASA).
Coral, the gemstone related to Mars is also red in color and found only under sea waters.
What is even more astonishing is that, Yantra is Mars is triangle (tilted) shaped.
In that way, Mars is brother of all humans born on planet Earth.
Mars also controls all land related issues in human lives like Real Estate Business, Agriculture, Siblings etc in astrology.
Modern scientists assume presence of methane hydrates, which indicates enormous eruptions of methane bubbles that would swamp a ship, and projected high into the air- take out flying airplanes, as well.
Any ship caught within the methane mega-bubble immediately lose all buoyancy and sink to the bottom of the ocean.
If the bubbles are big enough and possess a high enough density they can also knock aircraft out of the sky with little or no warning.
Aircraft falling victim to these methane bubbles will lose their engines-perhaps igniting the methane surrounding them-and immediately lose their lift as well, ending their flights by diving into the ocean and swiftly plummeting.

Nuclear Weapon (Brahmastra) and Power of Gayatri Mantra.........

Brahmastra (Sanskrit: ब्रह्‍मास्‍त्र, Brahmāstra) was a weapon created by the creator Brahma, for the purpose of upholding Dharma and Satya (truth).
When the Brahmastra was discharged, there was neither a counterattack nor a defense that could stop it, except by Brahmadanda, a stick also created by Brahma.
brahmastra nuclear weapon

It could be evoked by user after severe concentration and meditating on its creator and could be used only once in a day to destroy an enemy, who could not be defeated by any other means.
Brahma had created a weapon even more powerful than the Brahmastra, called the BrahmaSirōnāmāstra, which was never used in war, as it had power equivalent to (Brahmāstra)4, representing 4 heads of Brahma and in Mahabharata war, it was known only to Dronacharya, Aswatthama, Arjuna and Karna.
Brahmastra also causes severe environmental damage. The land at which it falls becomes barren for many centuries and both men and women became infertile in that region.
Greenery will vanish, rainfall would decrease and land will develop cracks as in drought.
People in that region will be genetically effected and will give birth to defective children for next few generations.

All these descriptions indicate that Brahmāstra was indeed a nuclear weapon, as the effects sound similar to what happened in Hiroshima and Nagasaki of Japan during 2nd world war.

Brahmastra usage was mentioned multiple time in puranas and epics.

Viswamitra used it against VaSishTa, but the Brahmastra was absorbed by Brahmadanda as VaSishTa was brahmarshi (rishi capable of alternate creation like brahma).
In Ramayana, Rama tried to use it to make way out of sea so that the army of Vanaras can march towards Lanka. But Samudra (lord of oceans) appeared and told Rama, about the technical issues of using the weapon and requested not to dry the ocean and kill all living beings in it.
So, Rama aimed it towards Dhrumatulya, which fell at the place of modern day Rajasthan causing it to become a desert.
Later, Rama chose to built a bridge, which still exists between India – Sri Lanka.
Indrajit used Brahmastra to capture hanuman, who was destroying Ashok Vatika after discovering Seetha.
Indrajit also used it against Lakshmana, but it was counter attacked.
During the confrontation of Arjuna and Aswatthama in Mahabharata, both have evoked BrahmaSirOnAmAstra but the combined power of both weapons would have ended all life on earth. So Veda Vyas interfered and asked them to withdraw their weapons. Arjuna could called it back but Aswatthama had no idea of recall, so he re-directed it to attack the unborn grandchild of Arjuna (Parikshit) who was still in his mother’s womb.
This withdrawl of weapon or calling back the weapon after its usage, sounds similar to Boomerang
There are multiple weapons described in puranas and vedas like Agneyastra, Brahmastra, Garudastra, Kaumodaki, Narayanastra, Pashupatastra, Shiva Dhanush, Sudarshana Chakra, Trishul, Vaishnavastra, Varunastra, and Vayavastra; but the trishul, Sudarshana Chakra and the Brahmastra, are the most powerful.

Brahmastra – Nuclear Missile evoked and energized by Gayatri Mantra
brahmastra nuclear explosionBrahmastra is released by Gayatri Mantra but in a different way.
Any weapon or even a grass straw can be energized by concentrating and spelling Gayatri Mantra in exact reverse sequence of its syllables.
This method of chanting a mantra is known as viloma (normal way is anuloma).
Combined effect of anuloma-viloma chanting multiplies the power of that mantra and sadhaka attains siddhi quicker than normal.

If it is so simple, then why can’t everyone who knows Gayatri mantra release Brahmastra ?
In mantra Sastra, a sadhaka (practitioner) gains siddhi over a mantra only after practicing it for certain period of time for a specified number of times with immense concentration.
So, one has to be initiated to chant Gayatri Mantra first in a proper way, then one has to practice it for many years and gain command over it.
Then he has to practice the reverse chanting of that mantra in same speed and frequency and again attain siddhi in it.
Only after this, a person is trained how to chant Gayatri mantra for Missile purpose. He has to gain siddhi on it, and when he acquires it, he gets energized.
With that energy when he releases even a grass straw by chanting that mantra it turns into Brahma Missile due to his own charged energy and the missile inturn derives it’s power from the creator, Brahma.

The entire mantra SAstra is based on the concept that sounds producers vibrations and inturn frequencies which can kill, heal or transcend.
We have seen practically how high pitch sound breaks glass and even other objects as well.

Atharva Veda has proved that mantras can change weather, bring rainfall, produce heat, change thoughts in human minds around us, control animals and birds etc.

Ahirbudhnya Samhita of the Pancharatra Agama volume 1:

phantam vahnisamayuktam vyoma halasamanvitam |
mesadvayam dantayutam halahalamatah param || 34-5 ||

ghanadyam vayupurvam ca dantayuktamathantimam |
sarasam carksaparyayam bhantam bhrgumatahh param || 34-6 ||

ambaram vayusamyuktamarimardanamapyatah |

tatte pade prayoktavye gayatryaA madhyamam tatahH |
padatrayam prayoktavyametad brahmastramIritam || 34-8 ||

“It contains air, fire and cosmic poison, two goat-like fangs, full of poison, weighty, emits air, contains mercury, fiery, sparkling, sky is filled with air, enemy killing greatly radiant and it is projected with three hymn, Gayatri at its centre, it is known as brahmastra”

When a Sadhaka meditates and raises his Kundalini (Brahmastra in this context), it derives energy from his base chakra (Mooladhara) and propels upwards.
Then, it penetrates through 5 other chakras deriving energies from each of them at every stage.
Finally it hits the target : Crown Chakra (Sahasrara) and explodes there with a brilliance.
That explosion annihilates all “Illusion(Maaya)“, and leaves the sadhaka with the debris called as “Aham Brahmasmi (I’m Brahma)” feeling.

We don’t need to evoke Brahmastram today and kill people or destroy the creation today.
Instead, we can practice Gayatri Mantra with reversed syllables and release our inner Brahmastra to achieve our target of Nirvana or Salvation.

Cloning as mentioned in Puranas

Animal Cloning was done few years ago in modern world but human cloning is still not done successfully and it is also prohibited in almost all countries.
In Ancient India, animal cloning was done to multiply number of cows and horses.
We can find Cloning in Rig Veda which was composed more than 23000 years ago.
cloning in rig vedaIn Rigveda, Rubhus are mentioned as brothers (Rubhu, Vajra and Vibhu) who brought youthfulness to their old parents. They even managed to bring back their lost skills. (They must have used ayurvedic recipes to bring back youthfulness. So much literature about such recipes exist even today but is neglected).
They even cloned a cow and a horse.

Seven different sages Kanva Medhatithi (1-20), Angirasa Kutsa (1-110,111), Deerghatamas (1-161), Vishvamitra (3-60), Vamadeva (4-33), Vasistha Maitravaruni (7-48), and Shrunu Arbhava (10-176) mentioned about Rubhus in their vedic verses.
These 7 sages belong to different generations, so it is known that Rubhus were known for their work over a long period of time.

The first work of Rubhus was to bring back youthfulness to their old parents. This is mentioned in multiple verses of Rig Veda.
1-20-4 – With their exclusive power they made their old parents youthful again.
1-110-8 – They made their old parents full of youth again by their skill.
1-111-1 – Ingenious Rubhus prepared a chariot for Indra, prepared two powerful horses (2nd being cloned from 1st), made their old parents youthful again and gave new mothers to orphaned calves or children.
1-161-7 – Oh Rubhus, with the power of your intelligence you converted your old parents into youthful state.
4-33-3 – Rubhus who made their old parents youthful again may come to our Yajna.
4-34-9 – Rubhus gave a new life to their old parents, to Aswinau, to a cow and a horse.
4-35-5 – Oh, ingenious Rubhus, you made your old parents youthful again.
4-36-3 – Oh, Rubhu, Vaja and Vibhu, your workmanship of making your old parents youthful again was praised by gods.

The second work of Rubhus was on cows and their first step was to produce a cow which yielded copious milk. (RigVeda 1-20-3).
Probably cows in that generation did not yield enough milk and to meet the demand, cloning was done.
They mention about a method where skin from cow’s back in taken and cells are multipled from it to produce a new cow (named Viswaroopa) which looks alike.

Third work of Rubhus brothers was to produce two powerful horses. First they created a horse (named Hari) and presented it to Indra. Then they produced another horse which is a clone of Hari and now both were used to yoked to his chariot (1-161-7, 4-33-10).

Before cloning, Rubhus brothers seem to have worked on living cells and their multiplication.
Sun gave ‘Chamasa‘ with Amruta to Rubhus (1-110-3) and they divided it into four equal parts.
‘Chamasa‘ here can be considered as a cell and amruta (immortal thing) makes it a living cell.
Rig Veda suggests a Chamasa having Chit or Chetana or Manas, so Chit-Chamasa means a living cell.
A fertilised egg can be called as ‘Chit Chamasa‘. It was divided into four by Rubhus, which means Rubhus evolved four animals from a single zygote or fertilised ovum.
This living cell or an embryo is prepared Twashta (God).

During the experiment, eldest brother(Rubu) said, “ we can make two cells from the original one ” (4-33-5). However, the younger(Vajra) brother said, “ We can make three” , because he observed that when one cell was divided into two, there were three cells.
The youngest brother(Vibhu) observed and said , “ We can make four ”, as second cell also can be divided equally like the first.

Next was human cloning, which is mentioned in story of King Vena.
He was a great king but became evil and corrupt. So, Mother Earth (Bhoodevi) decided that she would not provide crops to humans anymore.
A group of Rishis (Sages) killed King Vena out of anger. They removed all the evil from his corpse’s thigh.
Then they created his clone from his arm.
This clone had similar body but however, mind cannot be cloned. So, a new King who was named ‘Prithu’ was created with pure mind. He brought back Mother Earth (Bhoodevi) to her normal state and promised be her eternal guardian. This is why Earth (Bhoodevi is also known as Prithvi.

There are examples of abnormal cloning, like of Nishada in Vishnu Purana.
Nishada, though an abnormal clone, could live long and could produce children. His tribe was known after his name and King Nala (of the famous Nala-Damayanti story in Mahabharata) and Ekalavya were his descendants.

Rubhus had also made a chariot flying in air, so they were automobile engineers too.

There are many more instanced like the demon ‘Rakta Beeja’ or AhiRavana and Mahi-Ravana who produce Rakshasas(demons) who look like them from their blood drops in war. It might be cloning from the white blood corpuscles, which contain nuclei.

Knowledge of Science as mentioned in Bhagavata Puran

Bhagavata Purana (भागवतपुराण), also known as Srimad Bhagavatam means Divine-Eternal tales of Supreme God, with its focus on bhakti (religious devotion) to Supreme God Vishnu (Narayana), primarily focusing on Lord Krishna, who lived on earth around 3200 BCE.
bhagavata purana

It was the first Purana to be translated into a European language, with three French translations made also between 1840 and 1857.
The writing credit has been given to Sage Veda Vyas and it states that when the Sun comes to Mesha Rasi (Aries), there are equal day and night.
It shows that then vernal equinox was at 30 degrees.
At present it is almost at 336 degrees. So, the vernal equinox has receded back by 54 degrees. The rate of the precession of equinoxes is 72 years per degree. Multiplying 54 by 72 we get 3888 years ago when Bhagvata Purana must have been written.
So, it must have been composed around 1800 BCE and in that ancient era, lot of scientific knowledge existed.

Bhagavata at 1-5-33, describes a method of treating diseases, which is similar to present day’s Homeopathy.

Dinosaur, Krukalasa was mentioned in Bhagavata Purana, who was killed by Krishna.

Theory ofRelativity, Time Travel incidents like Kakudmi and his daughter Revati, were recorded in Bhagavata along with story of King Muchukunda‘s story in which a indo-greek warrior was killed.
Abhijit or Vega is a star whose Deity is Brahma (creator). So, Kakudmi and Revati must have gone to a planet around the star Vega which is 26 light years away from the earth. (Pls read the Blog
Stories of Time Travel in Indian Mythology........... -1
) Recently Russian scientists have discovered that there is a planet around Vega which may have life.

Entire science of Embryology was described in detail by author of this book.
Modern science has discovered all that to be true after 1972, following the research of Dr.Robinson of England.
Bhagavata also states that, till end of 6th month, soul keeps travelling in and out of womb and revolves around its future mother. But in the 7th month, it enters womb and the foetus remembers everything in the past birth, but forgets due to compression during delivery.
This is unknown to the modern embryology, but is true.

Modern science has discovered in 1925 [McNally’s paper] and 1935 [Ross and Tait] that the vestibular apparatus or Labyrinth in the internal ear is responsible for the sense of directions.
But Bhagavata has mentioned this detail around 1800 BCE. How could Vyasa find that minute device situated deep in a human skull ?

Bhagavata also mentions how God realised that unless He and She unite they were unable to reproduce.
So he conjugated with her. He entered into her 23 principles. Those 23 principles were activated by his energy and they conjugated with his 23 principles.
With that conjugation a person came into being. These 23 principles (gunavidhi), which are the 23 chromosomes present in human being. They combine with each other to form a zygote.
Bhagavata also states that he divided himself once, ten times, three times. The zygote divides itself once to produce two cells. This happened ten times so 2 raised to 10 cells appeared. This took place at three layers, namely entoderm, mesoderm and ectoderm, producing 2 raised to 30 cells.
Modern science has discovered recently that so many cells are really found in the newborn baby.

Knowledge of Atom, electrons, protons, neutrons etc existed in those days.
Distance between a proton and an electron is 50000 times the diameter of proton.

Diameter of the orbit of electron around an atom’s nucleus is 50000 times greater than the diameter of an electron or proton. Thus the description of Paramanus or subatomic particles as given in the Bhagwata is perfectly matching with discovery of modern science.

Gandasailavalokanam in Tripura Rahasya (naratted by Dattatreya to Parasurama)

Tripura Rahasya, the ultimate book on Advaita Vedanta discusses a chapter about time-travel.
Mahasena, brother of Vanga King Sushena sent his army along with horse to perform Aswamedha Yagam.
When the army crossed a sage named Tangana, who was in meditation, they did not pay respect to him and proceeded further. Sage’s son noticed the insult to his father and was exasperated. He caught the sacrificial horse and fought the heroes guarding it.
They surrounded him on all sides but he together with the horse entered a hill (Gandasaila), before their eyes. Noticing his disappearance in the hill, the invaders attacked the hill. The sage’s son re-appeared with a huge army, fought the enemy, defeated them and destroyed Susena’s army. He took many prisoners of war, including all the princes and then re-entered the hill. A few followers who escaped fled to Sushena and told him everything. Sushena was surprised and said to his brother to respect the sage and bring back the horse.

Knowing the problem of king, Tangana asked his son to release the horse. But even after that Mahasena was curious to know how huge army emerged from inside a hill.
Tangana’s son made Mahasena leave his physical body outside the hill and took his ativahika sarira (astral body) inside.
As he entered, Mahasena saw the sky above, enveloped in the darkness of night and shining with stars. He ascended there and looked down below; he came to the region of the moon and was benumbed with cold. Protected by the saint, he went up to the Sun and was scorched by its rays. Again tended by the saint, he was refreshed and saw the whole region a counterpart of the Heaven. He went up to the summits of the Himalayas with the saint and was shown the whole region and also the earth. Again endowed with powerful eye-sight, he was able to see far-off lands and discovered other worlds besides this one. In the distant worlds there was darkness prevailing in some places; the earth was gold in some; there were oceans and island continents traversed by rivers and mountains; there were the heavens peopled by Indra and the Gods, the asuras, human beings, the rakshasas and other races of celestials. He also found that the saint had divided himself as Brahma in Satyaloka, as Vishnu in Vaikunta, and as Siva in Kailasa while all the time he remained as his original-self the king ruling in the present world. The king was struck with wonder on seeing the yogic power of the saint. The sage’s son said to him: ‘This sightseeing has lasted only a single day according to the standards prevailing here, whereas 1,200,000,000 years have passed by in the world you are used to. So let us return to my father.‘

Outside the hill, sage’s son made Mahasena go into sleep and united his astral body with the preserved physical body.
When Mahasena wokeup, he found the whole world to have changed.
Upon realizing that all his relatives and friends were dead during that time period, Mahasena goes into depression.
Tangana’s son takes him around the hill and says ‘See this hill’s circumference is just 1 mile, but you have seen a huge universe inside. Now what can you call as reality ?
How can you judge if one dream is reality of actually a dream, based on another dream ?
Both are dreams and reality is YOU.‘

Thus Mahasena was taught yoga and advaita philosophy.

Time Travel Stories in Indian Mythology ....-2

King Muchukunda’s time travel and Musi River

Muchukunda (ancestor of Sri Rama), son of King Mandhata, was born in the Ikshvaku dynasty (Suryavansha).
In a battle, demons dominated the deities. So, Indra the King of deities requested King Muchukunda to help them in war.
King Muchukunda agreed to help them and fought against the demons for a long time. Since the deities did not have an able commander, king Muchukunda protected them against the demonic onslaught, until the deities got an able commander like Kartikeya, the son of Lord Shiva.
Then Indra said to the king Muchukunda, “O king, we, the deities are indebted to you for the help and protection which you have given us, by sacrificing your own family life. Here in the heaven, one year equals three hundred and sixty years of the earth. Since, it has been a long time, there is no sign of your kingdom and family because it has been destroyed with the passage of time. You came here in Treta Yuga and now its Dwapara Yuga on earth.
We are happy and pleased with you, so ask for any boon except Moksha(liberation) because it is beyond our capacities“.

While fighting on the side of the deities, king Muchukunda did not get an opportunity to sleep even for a moment. Now, overcome by tiredness, he was feeling very sleepy. So, he said, “O King of the deities, I want to sleep. Anyone who dares to disturb my sleep should get burnt to ashes immediately“.
Indra said, “So be it, go to the earth and enjoy your sleep, one who awakens you would be reduced to ashes“.
After this, king Muchukunda descended to earth and selected a cave, where he could sleep without being disturbed.

Kalayavan (Yavana/Yona/Greek) warrior king was undefeated and unmatched in battle due to a boon, but he was also merciless and cruel. muchukunda kalayavana krishna
He learns that Krishna is the only person who can defeat him in battle and accepting this challenge sets out to invade Krishna’s kingdom, Mathura. When the two armies faced each other in battle, Krishna dismounts from his chariot and starts walking away, followed by Kalayavan. After a long time Krishna, followed by Kalayavan, enters a dark cave. In this cave Muchukunda was sleeping since the time he was blessed by king of deities.

The person on whom Muchkunda’s gaze falls is doomed to instantaneous death. Kalayavan in a fit of anger and unable to see in the dark attacks Muchukunda mistaking him to be Krishna. When Muchkunda opens his eyes, his gaze falls on Kalayavan who is immediately burnt to death. Krishna appears to Muchukunda in form of Ananta Padmanabha Swamy (same position in which muchukunda slept for many years).

The river which starts its flow from near that cave is now known as Muchukunda Nadi(River). In time lapse, it is known as Moosi (Musi) River, which flows through Hyderabad in Deccan Plateau, India.

Stories of Time Travel in Indian Mythology........... -1

Time travel and theory of relativity are still science-fiction subjects for present day human beings.
But in puranas, they’ve been discussed multiple times.
One such classic example is that of King Kakudmi and his daughter Revati, who travelled to different loka (dimension) and returned to earth in future time.

Kakudmi was a descendant of the Sun Dynasty (Suryavansha).Kakudmi Revati Time Travel
Kakudmi’s daughter Revati was so beautiful and so accomplished that when she reached a marriageable age, Kakudmi, thinking no one upon earth was worthy of her, went to the Creator himself, Lord Brahma, to seek his advice about a suitable husband for his daughter.

When they arrived, Brahma was listening to a musical performance by the Gandharvas, so they waited patiently until the performance was finished. Then, Kakudmi bowed humbly, made his request and presented his shortlist of candidates. Brahma laughed loudly, and explained that time runs differently on different planes of existence, and that during the short time they had waited in Brahma-loka to see him, 27 chaturyugas (a cycle of four yugas, totalling 108 yugas, or Ages of Man [refer Concept of Time Division in Ancient India and Age of Brahma]) had passed on earth.
Brahma said to Kakudmi, “O King, all those whom you may have decided within the core of your heart to accept as your son-in-law have died in the course of time. Twenty-seven catur-yugas have already passed. Those upon whom you may have already decided are now gone, and so are their sons, grandsons and other descendants. You cannot even hear about their names.
You must therefore bestow your daughter upon some other husband, for you are now alone, and your friends, your ministers, servants, wives, kinsmen, armies, and treasures, have long since been swept away by the hand of time.”

King Kakudmi was astonished on hearing this news.
However, Brahma comforted him, and added that Vishnu, the preserver, was currently incarnate on earth in the forms of Krishna and Balarama, and he recommended Balarama as a worthy husband for Revati.

Kakudmi and Revati then returned to earth, which they regarded as having left only just a short while ago. They were shocked by the changes that had taken place. Not only had the landscape and environment changed, but over the intervening 27 chaturyugas (mahayugas), in the cycles of human spiritual and cultural evolution, mankind was at a lower level of development than in their own time (see Ages of Man).
The Bhagavata Purana describes that they found the race of men had become “dwindled in stature, reduced in vigour, and enfeebled in intellect.”

Daughter and father found Balarama and proposed the marriage, which was accepted. Since Revati came from different time behind him, she was taller than Balarama.
So, Balaram used his plough to reduce her height according to present conditions.

Their marriage was then duly celebrated.

Thanks for Reading i will be Posting 2 More Stories on this soon.....
